His lover’s parents rejected him for being a construction worker—10 years later, they regretted their decision

We can't deny the fact that every parent wanted what's the best for their children, especially when it comes to a relationship. They tend to ask about the background, terms of educational attainment, current job and family. This is exactly what happens to a lover who never let the heartbreak stop him from reaching his dream.

20 years ago, a man named Micheal had no option but to accept the fact that his father can’t further help him to study in college. Because of this, he works as a construction worker and his first girlfriend  Irene decided to break up with him because she doesn’t’ want to end up with a poor man.

But Michael finds another woman named Judy soon after his break up. They eventually fell in love with each other after two years of consistent dating. But just like what happened to his first relationship, Micheal and Irene met another problem in their romantic relationship.

Irene's parents didn’t approve Micheal to be their daughter's husband. Her parents said that Michael was only a construction worker and will never give Irene a bright and secured future.

One day, Michael's friend suggested him to work in Australia. He followed his friend’s advice, Micheal flew to Australia to work as a construction worker.

At first, it was hard for Michael to adopt the new environment. But eventually, he assimilated himself to Australian culture. After 5 years, he decided to go back to Taiwan. He never forgot his two former girlfriends. As of now, Irene is a divorced single mother while Judy is still an unmarried woman.

He became a contractor at first and after years of determination, Michael managed to start his own construction company.

The story only proved to us that sometimes love just ain’t enough. Nonetheless, a heartbreak should not stop us from pursuing our dreams.
